I've recently completed work on a massive API project to supplement the existing singlePOST XML systems communicating with CDL. The API is now the focal point for all development.
Current facilities include, but are not restricted to:
- Quote/store/buy/recall facilities powered by extremely developer friendly POSTs.
- Address lookups.
- Occupation and employer suggestions.
- Back account validation and address lookup using PCA Predict.
- Simple field caching facilities.
- CEDS message storage and retrieval.
- Email and SMS generation.
- Link shortening.
- Live policy retrieval.
- Renewals retrieval.
- Dialler integration.
- Hot lead feeder integration.
- Date formatting and validation.
- Fully customizable hints system.
- Lookup lists.
- Add-on management.
- Instalments calculations.
- Vehicle lookup facilities by search, VRM, ABI code etc.
All services return JSON responses.
A customer portal which compliments the CDL Classic system and allows customers to view their current policies, read policy wording & CEDS emails, upload documents to Filestore etc.
Powered by our new API, it bypasses some of the limitations of the CDL Classic system and has reduced customer admin significantly.
